Custom Made Eyewear
If you have read our page on bespoke, then you are probably wondering, what is custom made? and what is the difference between bespoke and custom-made?
To put it simply, bespoke is about creating eyewear from a blank canvas and for us to measure your face to specify the sizing requirements. Our custom-made eyewear allows you to choose from a fixed range of styles and colours and then we will select from sizes that are closest to your actual requirements. Think of it this way, your tailor can make you a bespoke shirt by taking all the necessary measurements or you can customise a shirt by changing collar style, sleeve length and colour of buttons.
What will it cost? Our custom-made eye eyewear is generally less costly compared to bespoke. Frames are priced around £400. They are all handmade (in Denmark) and wide range of acetate and titanium options are available (including rimless styles).
How long will it take? Custom-made orders take 6 weeks, from date of initial order.
What next? If you are interested in our custom-made service, please speak to our bespoke consultants. You can ring our Shipley or Otley. We will usually advise an advanced eye examination which will usually take around an hour. This will be followed by one hour dispensing consultation. We will usually build the frame using our computer software to give you an idea of what it will look like.
All our custom-made eyewear is glazed using our premium spectacle lens offering, namely Essilor and Carl Zeiss lenses.
